Dr. Jay B. Shah

Dr. Jay B. Shah is a fellowship-trained urologic oncologist specializing in the treatment of bladder cancer and other urologic cancers. He has a special interest in robotic surgery, emerging treatment options, and optimization of post-surgical recovery. Having written many peer-reviewed papers and book chapters on these topics, he is a well-respected authority in his field. He takes tremendous pride in getting to know every patient and helping them choose the treatment plan that is right for them.
Prior to joining the Stanford Cancer Center, Dr. Shah was on faculty at MD Anderson Cancer Center for seven years where he served as Center Medical Director of the Genitourinary Center as well as Director of the Bladder Cancer Robotics Program and supervisor of Medical Student Education for the Department of Urology.
